Charl, seems like you're new to the site... unless you're one of those people who "give out crap then open multiple accounts."

People can say anything they want to about me in chat.  They can call me the spawn of Satan if they so desire.  I will use the pause time to sip beer and relight a cigarillo.

Education is what you have left over after you've forgotten everything you've learned.

I just finished a game where my opponent blundered away his queen in the end game and then claimed it was no fair that I took it because it was obviously a mouse slip. He had 1:30 left on the clock and let the clock run out.

Why do this? If you're not going to accept a loss gracefully, then stay out of the game.

That's fairly standard practice on chess.com, unfortunately. Sometimes, the guy (or gal, although highly unlikely) will just let the clock run out after a blunder w/o even typing you an insulting chat message : )

There's probably a much larger % of kids vs adults on chess.com, as least if USCF kids/adults percentage is any indication. And... when some kids aren't supervised online, rudeness ensues.

Here's something interesting: In one of my son's OTB game where my son was ready to deliver a 1-move mate, the other kid (maybe 7-8yr old) just decided to sit there and let the clock (20 min.) run out (my son was too new at tournament play  to know to notify the officials).  So!!! It happens in OTB too .. sometimes, we just can't understand some kids.

Happens a lot more on chess.com.

Whenever the CPU usage goes thru the roof, I know it's going to start happening, first the mouse slips (actually, it is more like semi-randomly dropping the pieces) and the pieces move super slow (or stops half way), then the game freezes (even on re-login). This weird behavior does not happen on other chess sites.

Each time I tried to re-start playing on chess.com, I encounter this weird issue. Here's one when I last tried to play here : )
