Pre-move Capturing
The only reason you should premove anyway is if you're confident it's going to work out. Otherwise, it's on you.
Yes, that's the point of pre-moving. But it should reset if the piece you were going to capture moves. Because you can no longer capture, therefore changing your whole move.
You made the move and you took a risk, being overconfident. If you were sure they were going to be on that square, then good for you, but otherwise it's on you.
I disagree. Its not overconfidence, its capturing a piece. Now if im moving to an open square then thats totally fair, the game changes and I should've anticipated that. But when its set to capture, and it changes, then it should reset and not move since that capture is no longer there.
You know that the piece can move but you still decide to capture it. It's overconfidence, unless this was a tactic that trapped the piece.
You're premoving to go to the square. I would imagine that if premoves cancelled captures when the piece moves away that if you were anticipating for the piece to move, and premoving to the freshly vacated square, then premove cancellation would be annoying.
