Dasher or Blitzin interface for FICS (I forgot which, the newer one in any case) has "smart move" which is when you click on a piece that has only one legal move, you don't even have to move it... once you click the move is made for you.

Pre-moves in blitz are fun as hell, and I've lost enough games getting carried away. It also seems a little bit 'cheaty' since it accomplishes something not physically possible in OTB blitz.
Nevertheless, since Pandora's box has been opened there, might it not be neat to have a very intuitive form of conditional moves? I mean obviously not as involved or time consuming or flexible as Online chess premoves, but something like maybe if you hold a key down you can move the other player's piece in response to a position or something and based on that condition set up your counter move, at least for a few moves ahead... I haven't thought through the interface and it might not even be feasible. But seems like it would be nifty if there was a way to pull it off...
