In order to win, Anand has to present him with some new problems, probably look for unorthodox if slightly dubious positions, like Topalov did in some games...

I expect an Anand vs Topalov for the world title.Many people are against Topalov, but all forget that match against Kramnik was played in Russia with huge pressure over the bulgarians, no one can deny that.

Shirov beat Kramnik in a match and then should have played Kasparov, instead Kramnik played Kasparov. Anand has a huge plus against Shirov and also has a plus against Kramnik. Why didnt Shirov play Kasparov? People say because Shirov has never won a game against Kasparov. In their match Kramnik didnt win a game against Shirov and lost 2 and yet beat Kasparov who has never lost to Shirov, strange indeed. When Kasparov was trailing Anand in their WC match Kasparov then resorted to accusing Anand of stealing some of his "work" off his laptop....if Kramnik is in trouble in his match with Anand watch for similar underhanded tactics.

I prefer that Anand win. If I bet money though I would chose Kramnik to win. My man died so these amateurs will never get to play him.

Yea well I'm waiting for Carlson to beat all of them in a year or two. 
I really am not sure who will win. Kramnik is the slight favorite but not the fan favorite. I'm pulling for Anand as well.
Anand is on the ascendancy as far as his chess career is concerned. He's improved greatly (month-by-month even). Kramnik's star is a bit on the wane, so I think Anand will win, but 'twill be a damned close-run thing.
Anyone know when the match will take place?

who's to say topalov wont win?although he is defensive he plays a subtle positional game which anand dosent fare well against

I hope Anand wins. Kramnik is a match player though, and I think Kramnik's chances are slightly better than Anand's.
