Short castles are harder to pick up but they're also lighter..... six of one;  half dozen of the other.

I prefer whichever one gives me a strategic advantage.

Playing the London for example, I may easily go 0-0 or 0-0-0 or not even castle at all.

Or as the Modern defense goes, I’ll typically castle 0-0 or not at all.

100% depends on what opening I’m using and what’s best for that specific position.

Having a preference is a good way to play a position poorly and cost the game.

Now, if you just play for fun and don’t really care about wins or losses then have at it with your preferred method.

I do like to play 0-0-0+

Of course, most people see it coming and prevent it. But I tend to castle long more often.

I usually castle at the same side as my opponent, unless my opponent has all his pieces firing at that side.

It’s almost impossible to create a chess game which is “perfect”, so I won’t be showing lines…

Cute way to say you play boring

Long castling usually is for attacking games and then pawn storm which is good fun,

But I'm a wimp and prefer short castle for a safe game

I'm a Sicilian Najdorf player, so I often just leave my King in the center, or defer castling until the middle game (after move 35, in some cases).
