Lets's say your RD (rating deviation) is high and you lose 135 points on a cheater. then you lost more after.. but these are a legit loses, okay.. then chess.com detected cheater and refunded your 135 points..
but first lose was on high RD and it caused a big RD change, even if you got refunded the same amount, you lose a different amount on your next loss since your RD was changed dramatically.
your final rating would have been different if you hadnt got beaten by a cheater first. refunding a fixed amount isnt simply restoring everything.. right?
am i missing something?
After a few extra games it's going to even out. Your new rating changes with the lower RD are going to cause your refunded rating to change less as well.
