I was going through GM Preparation Positional Play in the morning after @DeirdreSkye's suggestion that I do only one position in one day because it's that difficult. After seeing it this way I saw a tremendous lot in each position. I filled up a page worth of notes on one position. However when I tried to translate my skill to Critical Moments in Chess by Gaprindashvili I drew a blank. I didn't see anything and was unable to spot the proper themes. How can I correct this and should I stick with GM Preparation.
