Program Users in 3 min?

I was recently called a "program user" by an opponent who lost a 3 min game against me.  My question is if it is even possible to use a program for such high-speed games.  I'm pretty sure he is just being a particularly whiny sore loser, but was wondering if there was some sort of device that can play blitz games for you?

Thanks in advance, Arcanus_Lupus

To answer for you Arcanus_Lupus, yes, it is possible and easily accomplished to play at the 3 minute level using a program, they were very popular on Yahoo and they can interface with a site and create the replies from the existing AI in the engine. They were even spotted and used in the 1 minute range as well.

These type of enginesrun almost no different to a "bot" program used in many MMO games as well. They can be embedded into the code of the site (well not exactly, they send the same input as a regular user through the same interface software, only much faster.

Really though, i tend to stay away from bullet games and play in longer controls as the game seems like chess on meth sometimes, but that is justa matter of taste.

You would need to run the games you played through several engines to see if the user was playing from one particular engine as each evaluates a position differently. Too much wasted time if you ask me.

To me, bullet chess is like stretchy pants were to Nacho Libre:

"It is for fun."
