In conclusion, it will be better if they remove the rematch option as long as you are mislead by others to play after winning with others, only to find yourself in the stupid position to be ignored when you want rematches!

By the way, to all the people commenting here against my idea, you don't show that you're really better than another player after just a game. You only show that you speculated a mistake! That's all!

Remove rematch? I know you're being sarcastic, but that's not at all what we are talking about

Plus, if everyone had to follow your rules, how would you even enforce them?

"Be ignored when you want rematches"

Dang, that stinks. Move on.

One time I was down a rook, two bishops, a queen, both knights, and 3 pawns and I still pushed through and managed to get a Mate In 3 when my opponent slipped up horribly. It happens.

Once in a bullet game I was up about 2 rooks and I blundered mate

I’ve been caught by surprise delivering checkmate when I thought I was playing a fork.

Well i am truly a heartless robot, based on this thread. Apologies everyone for my heartless robotedness.

In this case, should I turn off the chat and deny all the requested rematches as well??? I can be the same kind of person as them if it's needed!

Why not? I have chat off at all times and accept rematch if it's convenient for me, e.g., if I want to keep playing and don't need a restroom break, or don't need to get a coffee. I, myself, never request a rematch and only play 3/5min pools, where the matching is automatic....

I keep the chat on but rarely accept rematches unless I want to play more. I do participate in arenas though, that removes the issue of the OP.

Apparently they think that everyone HAS to accept rematches. No one is proving they're "better" than another player on chess.com... they are just showing their own skill.

I like your idea of rematch preferences

I turn off chat and don’t accept rematches. A lot of people will rage in chat, and I just learned to turn it off. I don’t accept rematches because I want to experience a variety of different play. If this is considered “bad sportsmanship” than I guess I’m a bad sport 🤷‍♀️

Refusing rematches is not poor sportsmanship.

Creating threads to whine about your sense of entitlement to expect rematches, on the other hand...

Bad ideas generate other bad ideas. The OP's notion is getting the attention it deserves: rejection.
