Different sites will offer sales, but you don't see them often when a version is first released. Chessbase itself sells on Amazon as well as their own site. US Chess offers a member discount on most things they sell.
The biggest price difference is in the package you order. The base program is the same, it depends on how many databases you want with it. The cheapest full program is around $165, the premium package about $360. Main difference is still the # of games, and how many annotated. CB does a good job of weeding out duplicates & fragments, but raw games can be had on the internet for free.
You can also update any database weekly at TWIC. He has virtually all games played since the last week's edition, sometimes over 3000. Donations requested, but no charge for the downloads.
Hello forum. I have decided to purchase Chessbase 14 and was wondering where is the cheapest site to purchase it from? Thanks.
