Can someone explain why am i losing much more points when i cant solve puzzle but if i get it right i only earn a few?
im 2100 ~ 2200 rated puzzle
and when i solve it correctly i earn 5 ~ 8 points
but when i dont, i lose 12~14 everytime

Because the points you get depend on several things:
- Finding the right moves. Multi-move puzzles allow partial credit for getting part of the puzzle correct.
- Taking an appropriate amount of time. The time allowed depends on the puzzle's rating and your puzzle solving rating. They used to take away points when you took too long to solve them but a lot of people squawked and they changed so that you would always get some points for the right answer, no matter how long you took to solve the puzzle.

If you look at your stats for the last 25 puzzles, and compare the puzzle ratings and compare the target time to the time you took, I think you will better understand how points are awarded.
