Well, are we talking about 3 min, 5 min, or survival?
puzzle rush score (5 min) vs OTB rating strength ?
25 puzzles solved = 1400 blitz
30 puzzles solved = 1800 blitz
35 puzzles solved =2000 blitz
40 puzzles solved = 2300 blitz
45 puzzles solved = 2500+ blitz
Good job , OP.
You make me feel like 1400 blitz.
My puzzle rush score vs other ratings!
Before I was also weak In tactics, but i used play magnus free one to improve tactics, you can look out for it, At your rating you might be average at puzzle solving and you might be stronger at other factors like time management and strategy.
I have a 30 rush as record, but I regularly get to 25+, my blitz rating is 800.
sounds like you're missing tactics in your games...
I have a puzzle rush score of 25, but I gave up on it after 16 tries because I didn't enjoy it. My current OTB is 2160 but I'm expecting to go over 2200 when OTB resumes gain.

have you ever been over 2200 uscf?
No, not yet. My first official USCF rating was 2016 but I was too busy with other things to play much. Now I have the time and money.

mhm, whenever you play, you have to pretend like you are doing a puzzle. If you've done a thorough scan, and there are no good tactics, then you can move on with whatever is the next best move
With Blitz I don't have enough time for it it seems, I try to do it already. Also in both blitz and rapid, the lower I go the better people seem to start playing, which is odd.
Not but a very short time ago -
most everyone was outraged at the idea of having a clock utilized when solving puzzles. The argument went ... it’s a learning tool and to be properly used players should take all the time necessary to solve the puzzles correctly. Placing time constraints was viewed negatively and said to be detrimental to the learning process.
This may well be true. But - ratings were being given out (before clocks). It was pointed out how these ratings were completely useless and irrelevant with unlimited time available and the opportunity to simply research the answers. Also true.
Then some bright and clever individual figured it out and developed - Puzzle Rush at CC. The idea already existed as an app elsewhere. An obscure, nondescript tool that had a very small following. There was some back and forth about possible copy-write issues which quickly disappeared.
The tool is now hailed as the greatest thing since sliced bread. An end all to all your learning needs. Solve puzzles / improve tactics is shouted to the ends of the earth. Improve your game by playing Puzzle Rush ! A very clever marketing tool indeed. Has made $Millions.
Solve puzzles and become a good puzzle solver is more like it. It’s a great tool and highly entertaining. It’s benefits are seen for the experienced players who have already learned the essential elements and experience similar positions in their games. New players could well spend their time with other materials and tools when seeking to improve.
Solving puzzles on the clock is a good idea as the practice simulates the same game playing experience where quick decision making is of the essence. But as a learning tool there is also much to be said about taking all the time needed to get it right the 1st time around.
just got a puzzle rush rating of 27 after 5 tries, but I am no where near 1400 or even 1800 level. not sure but I think you guys overrate your puzzle rush scores.

Puzzle rating is different as compared to the normal rating bro, if you are good at puzzles you might get stronger quickly in future, but people like me who are not good at puzzles are good at time management and all those stuff takes time to improve.
Best puzzle rush is 34 now, but I definitely could do better if I took more time. Tactics is around 2k right now, still I'm 900 blitz.

5 min. 34 is really good maybe you have time management issues
The figures are for 5 minute puzzle rush. I suspect you could get near 40 with a bit of practice (I don't play 3 minute puzzle rush, but the best I remember in a (3 minute) Puzzle Battle is 29 which is 5 below my best 5 minute Rush).
I consider my blitz rating (which tends to range around 1700) is poor compared with my (recently improved after a year) 5 min puzzle rush, so I was astounded that someone could have a 900 blitz rating and a 34 puzzle rush! However, @Lexhibition was referring to Puzzle Rush Survival, where I have a best of 47.
Yeah, I misunderstood that it was 5 minute puzzle rush, which was not clear from the opening post, but I guess survival didn't exist back then. I don't do puzzle rush 5 minutes, I tend to do survival and normal rated puzzles which I'm pretty consistent at 2100 now. However still can't escape the 900 blitz rating, I think it's because I don't play enough games and taking them less seriously as opposed to rapid. Maybe one day soon I'll take them more seriously and see where I can take my blitz rating though, just out of curiosity. After that probably will go down again, because I use it to have fun and try out some stuff mostly.
I have a PB of 26 but my blitz rating is nowhere near 1400.
