queen loss

I have one question, why do people resign when you take their queen? even if they have more of an advantage without it.

Do you mean trade queens? Or simply take their queen and they get nothing in return?

Does the above example from your most recent game show what you were talking aout?  I am trying to understand what you are looking at when you say that white would have more of an advantage after losing his queen. Please explain.

If that is not the right game, please provide us an example of a game where such a situation existed.

Strong players will resign when the position is lost even if the number of pieces are still equal.

New players never resign.

Most player are somewhere in between.

In most positions, losing the queen isn't more advantageous. If I lose my queen, with little or no compensation, I'll resign too.

Because they think they have a huge disadvantage?

That's a great example, Queen for a Queen only happened once, here's another example: [Event "jamal2225 vs. Denbigh"] [Site " Chess.com"] [Date "Apr 20, 2016"] [White "jamal2225"] [Black "Denbigh"] [Result "1-0"] [WhiteElo "1020"] [BlackElo "1048"] [TimeControl "1 in 0 day"] [Termination "Denbigh won by resignation"] 1. d4 d5 2. *because they do have a huge disadvantage, and any player worth thier salt will be able to beat them unless they have an immense amount of compensation.

Denbigh, in the example above White resigned because they actually have no realistic chance. If I get it right, White is a Queen and some Pawns down with no compensation at all. Why should they continue?

Maybe the OP expects players to have masochistic tendencies

Haha nice checkmate Bilal_05! Here's a game I played earlier:

And this is why players below a certain level shouldn't resign when they lose their queen! Dig your heels in and fight until the bitter end! Many glorious victories are sure to ensue.
ArgoNavis

Because they don't want to bring shame to the patzer that is playing them by beating him without the queen.
