I read the book. It is entertaining.
I have read that the movie has been given the typical Hollywood treatment. The real story is undoubtedly more entertaining if you know anything about chess.
At any rate, you have probably seen 100 movies with very similar plots and many of the same stock phrases. I have heard that they had a master on the set so I do have some expectations that they set up the boards correctly.
/ I know that you will find more reviews by searching for Katwe. It had 92% Tomatometer rating, so I am confident that it is a fairly decent movie, even if the chess situations are unrealistic.
