I watched it a couple of months ago and liked it. Of course, I had seen the trailer prior to that and thought it looked good.
Queen to play

The movie is rightly considered to be light-weight and not terribly memorable among non-chess fans.
I'm surprised so many people who love chess also like this movie. Sandrine Bonnaire and Kevin Kline are pleasant enough, but the scenes involving other chess players do not resemble anything I've ever experienced.
I'd give the movie about two and a half stars out of four as entertainment. As a chess movie, maybe 2/4.
A much better movie with chess as its theme is Dangerous Moves (Diagonale du fou)
Has anyone watched the French movie "Queen to play"? I stumled on this today and was pleasantly surprised.
