I only play group match games . . .

One game as white another as black . .

There are never any insults or arguments . . .

Usually they are 3 day moves and they are matched up according to ratings . .

They are signed up on the groups you belong to . . .

I would hate to have you as a coach lol.

I set a requirement to coach someone of IQ >40, so you would have no hope.

So, what is your improvement / USCF rating after "learning" from streaming and blitzing?

I don't stream but I've gotten a lot better combining blitz and rapid games on chess.com with classical. the balance is extremely helpful. my otb classical level a few months ago was 1200 (those were my performance ratings), now I get performance ratings of 1700s and 1800s, and am climbing up

Your USCF rating is 1267.  No idea what you mean by a performance rating?

I am USCF A Class, but also have the USCF title of Category 1. This requires a performance rating above 2050 in five events.

Something like that anyway.

A 1287 with regular performance ratings of 1700+  quickly rises well above 1400 unless they also have frequent performance ratings of 1000.

I had performance ratings in the 1200s in two tournaments that I directed and unwisely also played in to avert anyone getting an involuntary bye. Each one dropped my rating about 50 points.

I've never played an OTB classical game, but through playing tens of thousands of blitz and bullet (mostly bullet) games combined with study, in the past 3 years my online ratings have increased from 600 to a 1+0 peak of 2581 on chess.com and a 3+0 peak of 2479 on lichess.org.

Of course I wouldn't have gotten better by only playing, I've read over 100 books, spend hours upon hours studying on chessable etc. but never once have I played classical.

I think llama put it best when he said "classical is useful, but not necessary if the ultimate goal is improvement in blitz"

By the way, if you think that there is no correlation between improvement in online blitz and improvement in OTB classical, then you are denying both common sense and a mathematically established fact.

If you have never played classical chess then how do you know this?  Not arguing just asking.

The relationship between online ratings and OTB ratings has been shown in many different places. This is the most professional/most frequently cited example: https://chessgoals.com/rating-comparison/

Of course it varies from person to person, but it is easy to approximate these things. a high online rating = a high OTB rating and vice versa

Sack_o_Potatoes

I like all three along with atomic and 3 check

I only like rapid

Alchessblitz

Blitz chess in 5 minutes to be more precise.

The other is like training or learning not really play in chess game.

1 minute too fast for me and if I would play at this time it is finally as a training for when I find myself in difficulty of time in blitz.

10 minutes good put if position don't really like, example 1) e4-d6 2) d4-e5 3) dxe5-dxe5 4) Qxd8+ Kxd8 the time becomes too long, not really fun.

Long time is work for me and if lost, I lost a day, I don't like games in long time.

Rapid is not so slow or fast so it’s my fav
