Question about premoves.

Well, with all thatobvious and eternal crap about "he cheated and won on time, with me being queen up, bad sportsmanship, he should have resigned obviously" all over the forums, there is one thing that puzzles me.

The premoves, namely.

While I don't give a frag about antyhing slower than 15 minutes, and use premoves only to play first book moves of the opening while filling my pipe, and yet I don't get it.

What is a premove supposed to simulate? There is no chance in OTB chess, to make a move, put a piece on a new position and hit a clock in 0.1 second.

So, what is the reason for them?

On the board you can move a lot quicker than you can with a mouse.

If you see blitz players on a board, its super quick. You cant get this with a mouse. Unless you allow premoving. You are right though, its probably too quick in comparison.

I find it funny when people complain about losing on time in a timed game. It just shows that the investment they made to get to the better position wasnt a good one.
