Questions before making move?

I have some thoughts on this (i.e. Opponents checks, captures, and threats)....Any other nodes of thought on this?? Thanks!

Your post isn't worded very clearly, but I assume you want to know what to ask yourself before making a move.  My input:

1. What imbalances exist in the position and how can I take advantage of them?

2.  Is there a tactic that I can use here?  An undefended piece or a forkable configuration?

3.  What is my opponent's response to my move?

If you judge these correctly, you should be well on your way to winning

I like what I heard as a "Chess Quote".    Look for a good move then find a better one.
