Garry Kasparov says"At the end of the day, it's all about money"

Agree, Disagree, Why

define 'it'.

What Kasparov wants to say, I guess, is that although a chess player aspire to become a IM/GM, National Champion/Continental Champion/World Champion, or winning a tourney, what he/she really really wants is the money out of the accomplishment made.

I think the quote is wrong. He said, "At the end of the day, it's all about mommy"

You can't eat a trophy, and a warm dry place to sleep at night is good too.

wonton soup will be better than the money.if you ever get the prank hehe

What Kasparov was refering to was sponcership. To get big money into the tournaments, you have to give the sponcers a reason to put the're money where the're mouth is. Mostly free advertizing, but there are other off-shoots for promoting such an event.

Nah, let's rather discuss quotes out of their context.

As someone that was like most, I used to think it was all about money.  I put work ahead of my family, because i thought i had to live the "american dream" I thought "success" was defined by how much i made.  All that mentality got me was divorced, and a fracture relationship with my girls.

3 years ago, i changed all that.  I make less than i ever have, I have fewer material things i ever had.  But what i do have is joy, a good relationship with my daughters, and my chess is better than ever.

Not really, it is all about living because one day you are going to die!

We're dying as soon as we're born. May as well fill our lives with love throughout that short duration :)

Agree, Disagree, Why

.

Disagree.

It's only about money at the behining of the day, when the stock exchange is still open.

Its about power of course at the middle of the day.

But at the end if the day, its all about the women!!!!!

Not money.

Life is sadness and misery and despair and doom. Most of life is spent trying to hide sadness with financial stability, material possessions, or seemingly meaningful experiences/relationships. But humans are destructive beings and our natural tendency is to destroy and feel sorrow. We are constantly battling our instinctual urges to revert back to our primal state.

Very cheerful, thank you for sharing it
