Things come up. That is what vacation is for. As you stated, if people going on vacation bothers you, then chose non-vacation tournaments.
"Vacation Time"?
Vacations happen. Deal with it or only play in "no vacation" tournaments. Many previous threads....

What about 30 day vacation time. How long would a 30 day per move game of chess take. Illogical, to me anyway.
30 days per move would be roughly two months per move pair, so at a length of 50 it could be 8 years long, not counting vacation.
But yeah, it's hard to plan out a perfectly predictable stretch of 300 days, so people need flexibility. Abuse happens, but not as much as people like to think.

I like your perspective on the issue the best so far imho. Thanks (:
vacation in daily play is ridiculus.A faire player have to resign if he goes to vasatın.Vasatın must be for some (1-3)days only.We do have the sensibility to say if we accent vacation in live or daily match as in tournements.

1-3 days on a game that can last months or even over a year? That is too restrictive.
What would be best is if there was the ability of players to send seeks with a no-vacation or limited vacation (vacation bank) option. Then people that don't care can just accept or send normal seeks and those that do can limit themselves to no-vacation or limited-vacation games/tourneys.
My view on this...
You logged on to chess.com.
You check your games.
You opponent either moved, or didnt move.
You were already logged on, so it didnt cost you anything.
Now do some tactics...
An event such as a death in the family, the birth of a new baby, illness, ... means that someone has something more important to do than plan out the next move in a chess game. Even so, vacation time can be abused. No more than a week should be necessary to resolve most problems. If more time is needed, just resign the game(s) and get on with the important things in your life.
I wonder how some of you would have acted when there was no internet, and postal chess was played.
I can see some standing by the mailbox on a daily basis yelling at the sky.
The lack of patience is amazing.
Lack of patience? I would say more like lack of consideration...If you aren't going to play, then do not sign up for a tournament. It's absolutely mind blowing to me, that people think this is acceptable behaviour for someone to put their games on vacation for 6 months in a lost position.
I study everyday, plus work, wife and hit the gym and somehow I find time to make my moves within a reasonable time frame.
I never said it wasnt inconsiderate. I said the lack of patience is amazing. My point being...You logged on to chess.com, checked your games, and you either have a move to make, or you dont. Go do something else since youre logged in. Play a game, do tactics, study chess mentor, watch a video, read an article. Thats all im saying.
If a game is 3 days per move, for example, then we have already agreed on 3 days per move. Not longer. What are your views on vacation time? The simple answer to this problem is not to accept games with vacation time. Of course. I'm still curious about other perspectives on this. (Yes I posted this twice but in two different forum categories. I didn't see it show up.)
