"Vacation"

What's the deal with "vacation" time? Somebody I am playing in a tournament - move in 3 days - has continuously run the clock down to minutes, then she goes on vacation. Done it 3 or 4 times. She seems to be on site while she's on vacation. I see the green box next to her name. I can appreciate that people may be away from their computer for extended periods & may need to go on "vacation." However, this just frustrating & seems like an abuse.
