Man, that kind of racist remark is terrible...one of the things I love about chess.com is being able to play chess against people from all over the world! Chess is a universal language!
Racism on live chess

Next time I get to New Orleans, I'm going to have to check out that museum.
it's across from the WWII museum. both are well worth a visit or 2.

@Rasp...this is clearly racist and by treating it as a joke is condoning it. I think you need to reassess!

I think you need to chill, it's the internet. You won't stop racism here unfortunatly.

@rasp...absolutely right, I won't, but at least by expressing my concerns on people's ignorance I'm doing my bit. Are you?

Hey, why try to stop it when you can perpetuate it, right?

That's an illusion, you're not doing anything by expressing your concerns.
Atleast I've experienced enough to know not to care about an internet comment.

If it gives a laugh to some people, yes. Cus it certainly can't hurt one.

@Rasp...the point is, racism is not something to laugh about. It clearly hurt the author of the thread.

I think it's funny, it's nothing to get "hurt" about.

I don't think it's for you to decide whether it's hurtful or not. If someone says that they're hurt by it then, by definition, it's hurtful.
yeah, wasn't it the battle or war ensign? i love those american civil war era flags. both union and confederate. there's a museum of the confederacy in new orleans that has several actual battle and unit standards. i was in heaven in that place.
