i actually wanted to play this endgame, ive never seen the engine drop the game and auto-draw except once or twice when me and my opponent litterly make the exact same moves 5-6 times in a row. this is unacceptable....

Please don't post profanity in the forums without adequately censoring it - I have now done so in your post above.

Your opponent was able to claim the draw because the exact same position had been repeated three times: games are never drawn because of an engine evaluation.

so does that mean the website actually offered him a draw for me, or did it just skip that and drop the game?

He probably claimed the draw. There's a button for it, that is available if your opponent starts repeating the position.

No, what happens is that the "Offer draw" button changes to "Claim draw" button if a draw by repetition is possible - the button doesn't change appearance or anything like that - your opponent has to recognise that's what's happened and click on the button to claim the draw. If they don't click on it, the game continues. If you make your move before they click on the "Claim draw" button and the position is no longer a repetition, the option of "Claim draw" reverts back to "Offer draw", and if they click on it then, the draw isn't given automatically.

You seem quite agitated about this. The threefold repetition is within the rules. It is your responsibility to know the rules. The amount of games you have played does not affect this rule.

Not knowing basic rules, quite common on big chess servers.

You blamed chess.com and some ”engine”. If you didn’t know the rules, why not research the rules of chess before shouting in the forums...
I reported you.

yes it's your responsibility to know the rules. Their's a tab on chess.com for it if you want to https://www.chess.com/learn-how-to-play-chess

I can't wait for the moment someone does en passant against you grin.png.

Also no need to tell everybody else to read the rules. Most people learn the rules of the game they are going to play...

Ever tried playing a soccer game without knowing the rules first?

Obviously you have to know how to play to play.

Who needs to read the rules? I think this "discovery" and angry reaction makes a great lesson for future games!
