Rapid Fide chess tournament

Hey i was wondering if any of you has attended the rapid fide tournaments or tournaments in general such as

Im preparing to play at one soon, around october, anyone have anything to keep in mind? 

The standings for the last one (Same local tournament, different date was)

1st Place - WCM Bayasgalan Khishigbaatar 6.5/7   $500
=2nd Place - IM Trevor Tao 6/7 & FM Tomek Rej   $187.50 each

and rest were not titled players.

Of course Isaac, stay hydrated, eat well, sleep very nicely, and of course do not worry to much about the games, the more you stress, the more difficult the games can become

The rapid time control favours play of systems you know well and can play fast without too much of thought and little chance of error . Keep things simple manage the clock well and all the best
