That must’ve hurt. I’ve dropped to 725- 500 once before and that wasn’t more fun then your tilt. I recommend taking a break for 1 day - 1 week and coming back with a fresh perspective.
rapid rating dropped from 882 to 756 in a day
Give yourself a little more time!
Both in terms of taking a break and playing slightly longer controls. 15|10 might be a little more suitable for you.

We're in the same boat buddy... I dropped from 1500ish to 1418 in a single session. Dont beat yourself too much
I don't know how anyone can take this site seriously. I dropped from 1400 to 1200 with the same accuracy. Made a new account just now.
This site a joke, nothing more, nothing less. But hey, it''s for free, so let's not complain, right.

I remember dropping from 910 to like 750 in a day and all that due to a stupid gambit I kept trying on the opponents until I succeeded.

You are Thomas Edison, reincarnated!
Unfortunately this site is Comical Ali reincarnated. What a flock of amateurs have set up this site?

I've dropped 100-150 points in a day or two more often than I care to think about. It happens. For me, a few days break from playing usually helps a good deal.
As for BF Teaches Chess, although it is by no means comprehensive, it is an outstanding book as an introduction to tactics, which is definitely definitely definitely what you should be studying. Read it.

I find I usually get it back within a couple days. You’re just on tilt, so take a break (people usually recommend a couple days, but one day for me works fine usually.)

Take a break after every game to analyse and reflect, especially after a loss. Don't jump straight into another games as you will not be focused.
It's down to 706, from 882, after 2 days. I need to force myself to just not play for a whole week. Chess isn't helping me right now.
I dropped from 400 to 300.. That's 25% of my whole elo..

I don't know if I have much to say or ask. I think I have been playing all day without really enjoying it, leading to missing stuff on the board more often. Do you usually find you can get it back? I've never dropped more than maybe 50 in a day.
My cousin bought me "bobby fischer teaches chess" for christmas. Would you recommend I spend time reading it? People on this board say that it teaches basic moves like pins and forks, and while I don't apply those concepts perfectly, I definitely play them all the time. I'm guessing the book is actually much more comprehensive than how I've seen people describe it on here.
