if you're strong player, you proably know that your opponent won't magically blunder, you need to pay attention what you can do and opponent can. you must create problems for opponent, something he must pay attention, blunders can only appear, if your pieces are active enough and weaknesses exist in the board. tactics can only appear, if you put pieces in a right place, where they serve purpuse.
that's why I think positional play is most important and tactics overrated, you won't get a tactic in terrible position

I read a book of Purdy's writings. He pointed out that in one recent match the great tactician destroyed the great positional player. He believes tactics are more important.
