Is rating on chess.com equivalent to rate on FIDE?

No...

Nope!

  1. I have 1401 FIDE standard games but I have 1800 rapid on here and 1800-1900 blitz.

For people who are both active on chess.com and active OTB then the ratings are a lot closer than this.

Well not for me. I have 1800 rapid (somewhat higher bullet and blitz on this site) but I lost pretty horribly in my first tournament.

Had a winning position against a CM (move 16 I was +4.5, still lost), drew a 1855 and lost four other games against 1651, 1499, 1770 and 1602 rated opponents.

Comparing your chess.com rating a FIDE rating based off of only ~6 games just helps me prove my point.

Play a few tournaments a month and then tell me about your FIDE rating 6 months from now.

While it's true chess.com ratings are not the same as any other rating (whether it's OTB or otherwise) there's a pretty good correlation, and with enough data you can make reliable estimates.

There are too many people who say all sorts of ridiculous things about this topic. From people who claim chess.com and FIDE ratings are utterly incompatible to people saying "herp derp look at my OTB rating from 5 years ago, it's so low."

I hardly think I'm over 1600 FIDE otb.

OTB is a whole different thing

After you play some more tournaments you'll find out.
