What's the average rating of club chess player
Can some1 plzzz tell me?? What's the rating of a social chess player?

@GMJAS I feel that the rating hugely spiked during the last 1-2 years. The number of players here increased geometrically. This leads to more points in the pool from unexperienced players. This results in an easy 1300. I guess 1250 average. I still have not find statistics on that, it might be interesting to see that @admins. Thanks.
So to summerize big tunover brings a higher average rating and unskilled players.

1600 can beat 600 blindfold, infact probably several of them simultaneusly. Games wont last more than ~5-12 moves. infact some of them might fail to make legal move. It happens a lot.
In some regions average rating would be 1400 , in others 1800-2000... so probably ~1600 +-

From my experience I would think the average person. This being that they do not study do puzzles or care to think very deeply about their moves. I would say the average player is around 800 if they get lucky they may win against a 1000. Those who belong to a club or shows real interest I would say is more closely able to be a 1500. Talented individuals, I ran across a guy that played and he smoked stock fish on hardest level in one game. But he didn't care to play after boasting. I gave two averages being two types of players those who care those who don't. Those who have natural tallent I would think belongs in a third class but if they don't care what's the point in them having a score.??
If you are talking about live blitz 10 min games I would say 500 is average 700 decent

Just look at pretty much any OTB tourney. You will find players all over the rating ranges and many of them have been playing for a significant amount of time and likely go to clubs.
At my club, among the rated players, the average is probably in the 1500-1600 range. But we have guys that are sub-1200 and some of the unrated players play below that. Of course, the club is smaller than some others.
