Rating adjustments

My own adjustments are clearly shown  of course, but I have been unable to find those for my opponents. Currently I rate around 1233 and believe can lose to an opponent rating around 2067 for penalty of zero points. The OP could possibly lose well over 100 points I think if I win and this causes me some concern as being  disproportionate and perhaps damaging to his  game interests. Could anyone please confirm adjustment  rates for  OP  if result is win or draw as now seems possible .

Only your opponent can tell you that.

Change in rating is not based solely on the difference between two ratings, but also on the two players' Rating Deviations. If you had achieved 1233 after one game, your RD would be much higher than if you took many games to attain it. The higher the RD, the greater the rating change.

(Make sure you actually win the game, otherwise all this pondering will be moot.)

But the chances of 2067 losing to 1233 is minimal, so in the rare event (say 1 out of 100 games that this may happen) then I think the +100 points is deserved, and the point deduction equally deserved. Advice: send the opposition a bottle of Scotch, and when merry go in for the kill.
