Rating Anxiety

I have been suffering from this from couple of years now I feel very anxious about starting another rated game against opponent of my strength. I hate it very much when my opponent wins if my opponent totally outplays me thats fine but i dont like when opponent plays garbage moves and still gets the win because of time or a very critical blunder from my side. How do i escape from this.

No worries, that is actually pretty common!

What helped me is to create a second account for rated games and improvement.

Maybe try it as well?

But please first contact support and ask for permission since creating a second account without permission can result in both of your accounts beeing closed.

Give up caring about the numbers. You're an excellent player - just play for fun and the challenge. The numbers will follow if you've earned them (and you will). Tilting only hurts you, your hands, your table, your .... All my best to you in your games!! :-)

You should quit the game now, while you still have your precious high rating. Your anxiety about losing rating points will only increase over time. You should try Pickleball. The people that play are mostly senior citizens, so if you’re in any kind of shape, you’ll be able to crush them. If you somehow lose, they probably have dementia, so you can claim victory and they won’t know the difference or remember anyway.

Don't listen to hon-yok. His advice is unsound.
