Rating differences

Hi everyone! I just just thought (really I sometimes do that) and I don't know why I have so big rating difference. For exmple my blitz rating is always 1100-1300 but my online chess rating is 1500 (I admit it is overrated due to I played against weaker opponents, but I also twice defeated a 1400+). And my Tactics trainer rating is now at 1600 but it is still growing lately and I hope it won't stop. How is it possible? To me it seems like "hey, I can play quite good when I have the time to think and I can quite quickly find the best move, but I still keep on losing in OTB and blitz chess". Is it the same with you? And what is the best way for me to become better?

practice, practice and (oh yes) practice.

i also find my live chess rating much lower than my online chess rating (granted i disconnect from live chess a lot and i mostly use it to test combinations out and the like). i struggle to find the best move when my time is of the essence.

my advice is if your tatics rating is increasing, and your online chess rating is increasing, soon your live chess rating will follow. it will most likely be the last of the three to increase in my experience.

I wouldn't expect all your different ratings to be the same. These aren't absolute scales, they are relative scales. Nobody's ratings in several different categories are the same.
