I just realized that one reason my daily rating is increasing is that my opponents are smarter than I am. When they are in a losing position, they resign, which gives me a win. When I'm in a losing position, I either can't figure it out or I think I can save it in the end game. Either way, the game doesn't end, so I don't get the loss. (Until the inevitable checkmate, at least.)
In the long run, it will catch up with me. But for the time being, my rating is better than I deserve.
I would agree that (what you do) is a very good thing to do when it comes to USCF ratings. Playing people with higher ratings will not affect your rating very much, but you gain a LOT of points when you win. You're on a roll to 2000 (if you're not there yet)! Good luck on your next games!
That can definitely be a factor if you have a lot of unfinished daily games that you are in losing positions. It will of course even out in the long run (you will be pulling higher rated opponents that will knock your rating down). But in the short run, it is a factor.
