The rating change is only based on the result and of you and your opponents rating.

OK, this question will have been asked before. When a game is won or lost and ratings score addded or subtracted. Is the points system worked out only on each players rating before the game, and not anything to do with how each game is played. i.e time of moves, amount of moves, checks etc. If that is the case as I suspect, then the amount of points you will recieve or lose is worked out before the game even starts.
