“Rating range must include your own rating” but can’t change rating range anywhere?

You didn't say if you are using the website or one of the apps.
On the website, try https://www.chess.com/settings/live
to check the range you have for outgoing challenges.
It’s on the app, iPhone 11. I just left a bad review on the App Store. My review has been deleted and now the app is letting me play again. I don’t get it....

I’m having the same problem right now too. I was going to create a different account because I wanted to change my name, so I resigned every single match. Then I found the “change name” button. My score dropped to 192 and now I can’t start a game without it saying “rating range....”
I’m scavenging for matches on “open matches”, but i Cant make my own. I’m on an iPhone. Does anyone know how to fix this? Don’t want write a bad review just to be able to start a new game lol

I don't use an iphone but I found this:

For the last few days I've been finding that I'm getting matches outside my nominated range. When I try to adjust the settings, it works for "incoming" but no matter how many times I adjust and save it "outgoing" defaults to +/- infinity. Since I can't see any way to get a game without putting out an open challenge that means I have no control over my opponents' ratings.
