Rating System On Chess.com

I haven't played on Chess.com for years until today ... But i feel like i'm playing extremely bad ... or is it i just gotta get used to the board and premoves?  But the main question i want to ask is are the ratings on Chess.com close to actual fide or elo ratings? i play on another site called chesscube..and i am usually between 2400 to 2500 rated. And on here i can get 1900 and maybe higher but i played a few 1800 today and wow they play like 2500 to 2600+ on chesscube ... or maybe it's just me i gotta get used to the new board and atmosphere?

2600?  Are you frigging kidding me?  Isn't that like up there with the best, famous players of all time?

Chesscube ratings are a little inflated.

Het_Vind

Chesscube starts people out at 1500.  Keep this in mind, the fact that the starting point is 1500 rather than 1200 explains most of the rating discrepency.

Well just played a guy from across the world and won the game but lost on time...but massive lag crushed me.

Mainline_Novelty

chesscube ratings are EXTREMELY inflated. Believe it or not, I (~1600 blitz - if I played it more that is lol, and 1900 OTB) am 2300+ plus there. It's pretty funny and stupid at the same time.

Chesscube's ratings are inflated. Chess.com uses the glicko rating system (for more details see here: http://www.glicko.net/glicko/glicko.pdf), so it is not very similar to fide or elo ratings.

Ok just so I know i'm not going crazy here, are we all on agreement that Chesscube starts people out at 1500 and that probably explains the ratings being higher?
