@Mikecarnevale, I here you dude! I'm in Illinois, not many chess clubs amongst all the cornfields lol. I'm a couple hours from saint louis, that's where I plan on going whenever I get around to it.
I guess we both might need one of these.

you don't even know my real name. how can you look up my USCF number?
I thought that the name you posted in your profile was real and that you didn't know how to look it up.

I don't give out my real one so ppl don't find my house. paranoia is from my mom (sigh) lol
Well there was an expired USCF membership under that name but it said that that person was unrated.

I didn't think someone in the US would have Risa koizumi for their name. always learning something new

Well, it was for Ryoko Koizumi but I thought that Risa might be a diminutive for Ryoko.

how does the chess.com rating compare to USCF?
There is no correlation.
Pretty sure there's a positive correlation...

i'm at 1858 USCF, going for 1900 in a month or so. I don't play much standard/rapid on here so its pretty low I think around 1690 and my blitz is okay, even though I could do a lot better. Currently around 1730 in blitz

Most chess tournaments that I play in are small round robins (our club does a lot of quads--four player sections) or Swiss System events. Both of these are non-elimination.
Just saying that people who believe there is "no" and 0 correlation between chess.com and OTB ratings R also saying that their chances in an OTB game against a 2500 blitz chess.com member is the same as against a player rated 800. People who have a higher blitz rating will obviously be better OTB. Is it a linear 1:1 relationship? Probably not but of course they r correlated.
