Could be because of The Queen's Gambit popularity, but 2020 has been a crazy year and a lot of people are staying home and probably playing more chess than last year.

So I've been working hard recently trying to up my game, i've gone from 90ish to 93 ish percentile, so i was breaking my arm patting myself on the back, but then i got to thinking, do folks think this is just a false inflation due to the new number of accounts that have opened on chess.com as a result of the Queen's Gambit phenomenon? Presumably the preponderance of those accounts would be newbie accounts which might lead to an artificial increase in ratings.....what do people think?
