I play with chessmaster at 2056, but i don't know how much is that in the real world, can anyon tell me? I can't be so good, i just started to study chess 4 months ago Undecided

Had a CM6000 way back in the late 90’s. Pretty cool tutorials, but it definitely gives an inflated rank when you play the various GM characters they’ve on there.

 

My OTB (at that particular decade) fluctuated around 1400++ to 1600++. So if you’re up at 2056, I’m guessing 1500 – 1600; give or take a few 50 +/-

 

The best test is when you play official OTB tournaments.

i would guess that chessmaster at 2056 is like 1600 regular rating :)

u talking about chessmaster 11th edition?i find it pretty adjusted to ELO ratings

i think that alison's deduction is quite accurate, because some friends that plays otb tournaments that are near 1800 can win kind of easily in that level.

I think in general online ratings are somewhat bloated in terms compared to over the board official Fide ratings, its estimated on playing strength online ratings (which are a basic guide to chess strength) are on average 170+ points out compared to an official Fide in other words a 1600 chess.com rating is only equivalent in strength to a Fide 1430?

The question was about chess master ratings not on line ratings. Can you even get a rating of 100 fide?

1500 just feels like 1000, so yea reduce that by 500
