You're sus, you said Among Us XD
Really like these new leagues
Chess.com, in all honesty you've created something really great with our new league system. Finally a way to not reward the strongest, but the most dedicated and diligent among us! A great incentive to simply keep playing, as you can't get demoted once you reach a certain rank.
Not only is it satisfying for the player himself, but it can also be used as a measuring tool on how active and sincere one certain user might be. I'm looking forward to see which tier I personally will manage to reach in the end!
In general you're a bit weird / trollish in the forums... but I agree with this post
What a great way to rain on someone's parade ...
'Generally you're a piece of $hit, but this time I happen to agree with you.'
Get bent.
lol, don't take it so hard.
Maybe I had you confused with someone else.
Good, I'll unblock you.
But even if you had me confused me for someone else (which isn't the case, you just say that to make yourself look better), rude is rude.
But anyhow, we all make mistakes. I'd just like to note that I'm not ashamed to show my face while I'm getting smack from a talking llama. Now THAT'S weird!
Now, where was I ... (I had a few drinks in between this and my last post), ahh yes, love!
You love Chess? You really do, huh? But somehow you're still stuck im Wood league? Kinda hard to believe you, bruh ... (in a few months from now)
I'm a slightly above-average little patzer, I play and play and play and never ascend beyond a certain rating. But with the Leagues system I've got something steadfast and tangible to show off. Not my rating, which is nothing to write home about, but my passion for the sport! A truly egalitarian, non-discriminatory way of showing: I take this seriously! I'm not here for the funny memes, I rather invest my time in fighting! I won't waste my days away with arguing whether pizza qualifies as a vegetable in the forum, I fight! Chess.com, not Chat.com. And that, dear reader, is why the League system is already very fond to my heart.

We get a lot of trolls, and your username is a bit... different ![]()
After you blocked me I looked at a few of the topics you started, and you don't seem like a troll.
Sorry about that, and thanks for unblocking me.
Good, llama, let's forget this episode.
I'm sincerely glad we didn't part as enemies, and I wholeheartedly accept your apology. Sometimes I act kinda rashly and out of an impulse, but that's all settled now! ![]()
So yeah, I like the leagues for all the reasons you mentioned. I think it's a fun way of seeing how active someone is at a glance, and I think it provides a fun challenge, for people to choose a week to try to play more than they normally would, to get an extra rank.
I do worry a bit about the last few ranks, particularly because chess.com is offering cash prizes.

I think it's almost certain some people will do some very extreme things, such as playing for 24 or 48 hours without any breaks. Or "cheating" by getting friends to take shifts, so that they can play for many days without any breaks. $10,000 for 7 weeks of work is quite a lot of money for a lot of people.
Where can I find leagues.
Use "play" not live chess.
Get a game with an open seek (challenging someone wont work). You can also play areans.
The games must be rated.
Don't play faster than 1 minute.
If you do these things, you're automatically in a league... for most people that means just play like you normally do.
Well, it did got me to try play blitz (3:2) and think about changing lichess app to chess.com one, so well done! Doubt it will be good for the quality of play since it gives you more points to play 100 games and win 2 than play just 2, win 1 of them and spend the rest of time analyzing. But this will probably get people who play only one game a day and only one type of games (blitz/rapid) to play more often and try different time controlls.

Any interface should work as far as I know, though the very first game might need to be in Play.

This says only play and not live, but I have no personal experience with it yet.

Honestly it's not written very well.
It opens by saying everyone playing on chess.com is in a league, which is incorrect.
It says you're promoted based on how much you play, which is inaccurate (it's based on how much you win and draw)
It says groups of 50 are entered into a league, which is inaccurate (groups of 50 are entered into a division)
It says promotions don't happen "until the end of the next week" which implies you may have up to 2 weeks to play.
It implies that you have 1 week from after a division is formed, which is untrue (it's the end of e.g. a calendar week, so you may only have a day or two).
It says "point values are based on time settings" which is odd phrasing. Points have a constant value, what changes is the number you earn, not the value of the points.
and on and on and on.
It's not a bad rough draft, but it makes me wonder whether someone was paid to write this... and even if English is their first language lol.
