Levy isn't bad. He's just providing his viewers with the content they demand. That's how he optimizes his income. He could do better if they demanded better. His audience sets the standard.

Gotham, in his game replays-"guess the elo" does demonstrate to the audience why chess principles are, to be followed. He really emphasizes it by highlighting how carelessly ignoring them leads to disaster.

I have found the content beneficial at times. Most of the streams that don't include twitch chat do offer good learning tips. However I do think the toxic twitch chat has had an effect on him and many of his streams are now full of disrespect flying in many different directions. I realize some of it is in good fun ; and is meant as humor or sarcasm ; but a good bit of it has become more serious, and personal in ways. And the ugliness is ultimately taking away from the quality of the streams.
I despise those who want to play gambits as white, but avoid 1.e4 e5 as black. Gotham's chess series, "Guess the elo " , is comedic gold, especially when he starts making up rap lyrics to match the game he is commenting on. The fact that so many rage against the London makes me want to applaud any who play it.
