record "without losing"

I was just wondering what is the longest someone managed to play on Chess.com without losing in games total?

Nytik

Do you mean legit players, or engine (or perhaps centaur) players too? I can't see any legit players having a win streak of very long, assuming they continued to play others near their own rating, as they'd soon run into the computers. Sometimes someone will create an account, win 50 or so games with a computer, but then subsequently get banned.

bobbyDK

of course legit players.

Nytik

How do you distinguish which players are legit and which are low-use engine players? This would be quite hard to distinguish!

But anyway, I suspect the answer will be found in someone who either plays the same person a lot, or just likes to take seeks from players several hundred points lower than them so they can win.

bobbyDK

we have to assume players not caught cheating are legit.

Nytik

Yes, I am especially in awe of those players who have obtained a 3000 rating...

I decided that someone who has played a lot of games, would have large potential for a long win streak, as there are more opportunities for this to happen. With that in mind, AWARDCHESS has a best win-streak of 47 games. So this is probably the target to beat, for now.

Oh.

I think he means for the purposes of the thread, rather than in general. Wink

Well considering that ChessNetwork achieved a 4200 Bullet rating, I'm assuming he had a major win streak of a few hundred games, as a loss to anyone less than 3500 must cause his rating to plummet!!

Nytik

Oh, by the way, although capablankamonte has won 94 games and drawn 1, amusingly the draw falls right in the middle of his games, meaning he ties with AWARDCHESS on a 47-win streak. (Albeit achieved twice!)

zerobounds

theres also a huge chance of timeouts, quick 1/day favored players would probably have a higher chance of streaks playing around their rating. I managed a streak of 9 but i think like 4 of them were timeouts.

the question posed record without losing on chess.com

others are on better streaks than capa'

i would bet in terms of time duration that capa' takes it though on turn based at least

EternalChess

I had like 26 on ICC, mainly bullet/blitz mixed..

JTLindskogHageman

Igormette easily breaks that but dunno if he´s for real, Dpruess i assume is legit he has quite an impruessive run.

flirtyking

Alexander Kojeve has a 54 game winning streak turn based, found under top rated games

bigpoison

Check out Reb's longest winning streak, folks.  I think you'll be hard pressed to find another member who has surpassed it!

Streptomicin

Capablanca had  a streak of eight years without losing a single game.

bobbyDK

one I know has a win streak in here of 117 and he doesn't seem to lose ever.
