I refuse to resign all the time because of 3 reasons: 1) I am extremely stubborn, 2)  I rather keep on playing until I got checkmated or a stalemate, 3) I usually show no respect to my opponents. That is just my only humble opinion. Nothing else.

You should get a job at a cemetery. You seem good at digging up 11 year old graves.

People blunder away winning games all the time. The way I see it, among us low rated players, resignation is a form of blundering

@Deranged Nope. I shouldn't get a job at a cemetery because I am terrible at digging up 11-year-old graves. Maybe you should.

Why do some players refuse to resign when the odds are so stacked against them?  Are they hoping they will win by time out?

I've got one game which my opponent has a King and 4 pawns left.  I still have 2 rooks and a Queen left.  ???

Which of your games stick in your memory about players refusing to resign?

I have had many stalemates when far behind... more than one in 10 games if I fight on up get stalemate or better
