Rematch cancelled

I win a game, and then I accept a rematch asked by my opponent.

After my first move, he cancels this second game.

What might be his reason, and what do you think about this behaviour ?

Nothing much, maybe he was tired? Now, if it was the other way around and he won but cancelled then maybe I would be annoyed

Maybe he accidentally offered the rematch and realized this mistake and decided he wanted to play someone else? There's nothing wrong or criminal about this.

Ok, thanks for the answer. I should have said it was a 3/0 blitz - > he got tired quite suddendly ;-)

I'll win a game

Accept a rematch

And then cancel on purpose because I know there are people who will rage on my wall

Criminal ?? When did I say this ?

I was (kindly, IMHO) asking for opinions, that's all.

Reasons: his cat died; he remembered a dentist appointment; he needed to use the loo, or any combination therof.

This behaviour:  Without knowing his reasons, no-one can judge his "behaviour".

This is the internet, people can check out anytime they like. I am just confused as to why you think it is a big deal.

I'd better say "illogical" rather than wrong.

Asking for a 3/0 blitz rematch, and change one's mind 10 seconds later, yes indeed, I find this strange.

BTW, a game can't be cancelled in real life, it would be lost.

OK after serious consideration I have come to the conclusion you are correct.

If you supply the name of the dastardly opponent, we will ensure he is horsewhipped at dawn.

Does that satisfy you?

Wife came into the room. Far enough he had time to abort before jumping out the chair.

Haha, humour might be a pleasant conclusion!

The phone rang, someone knocked on the door... all sorts of reasons why someone might abort after one move. I've done it on one or two occasions.

I'm against abortion ... killing all this little potential games before they even start... so sad.

Perhaps his wife suggested that she help her. Trumps all chess games.
