Rematch rules

I really think people should start getting reported/banned for dodging rematches, one could make the argument that it's basically nonverbal trolling and very rude. There's a guy I know in real life who NEVER gives me a rematch and it's absolutely criminal imo he doesn't support his local police either so I know he doesn't respect authority and those are the people who need bossing around the most imo.

Rematch is not compulsory and members are free to choose who they play against.

Thank you for agreeing I was very upset and these trolls did not feel the same way

Let me get this straight... you think people should be FORCED to play another game against an opponent they've just beaten?

Does it only work this way in chess, or do the same rules apply to baseball? American football? Boxing?

How about dating? If a woman goes out with you and decides that you're a jerk and she doesn't want another date with you... should she be FORCED to go out with you again?

Stop being so gosh darn whiny. People are free to choose whether or not they want to rematch you. Out of all the irrational complaints on this site this is probably the one that takes the cake. You even heard it from a mod--this will never happen. People will always be free to choose whether or not they want a rematch, not all people play blitz looking for long matches, sometimes they just want to play different people.

I'll stick to my maple syrup, thanks.

People really need some lessons in sarcasm.

At least 666buffchix gets it, it's worse than stalemate which doesn't make any sense because if you can't win then you're a loser and that's another thing they need to fix in the rules because who wants to lose? It's crazy

If you're being serious, I feel sorry for you. If you're not being serious, I still feel sorry for you.

John_Proctor

I feel sorry for you for making snippy comments toward people trying to have a discussion. 666buffchix agrees so I'm probably on to something here

THANK YOU

Shocking idea!

Daily Chess, I always accept a rematch. In a live game I might not have time for a rematch. I play at work a lot, so I might only have time for a single game. Even then I try to let the player know that so we can play again at a later time.

Dumbest troll job ever. Enjoy the dopamine, Dope.

Duly noted. One person agreeing with you means nothing. In fact, a million people agreeing with you means nothing. People are free to play as they see fit. There are times when I don't have time for a rematch, regardless of how bad my opponent may want one. There were times when I had my opponent beat, strategically and numerically, and yet I made one blunder that cost me the game and was never granted a rematch. And guess what? That's okay. No one OWES you a rematch. Get over yourself.

Play each other until you die.  If you ever accept one game of chess it's a deadly embrace until death.
