It's because they hate losing and want to get back at you. That is the only case and any other reason is fake. This only applies to those that complain about it though, and those that leave negative post on your page.... look at mine for example. After playing that clown my baby woke up and I had to go and attend to her needs. But I guess I should have played him and said screw you little one… meh.

Oh by the way I have resigned, that’s right “RESIGNED” some winning games because something came up and didn’t want opponent hanging or getting red flagged by fair policy (which is a problem in its own btw). How come no one ever writes a post about that? Why not start a post that’s titled “I hate getting free games by my opponent resigning while he/she is in winning position” hahahahah!
You can actually resign & rematch in a nice way, you know.

Ehh...sounds logic.
Why do some people get so hot and bothered when they don't get an immediate rematch? I don't automatically do rematches for a number of reasons: (a) I don't have the time--stealing ten minutes here and there at work, or wife insisting we go out, etc., etc.; (b) instead of playing a new game right away I'd like to go over the old one while it's fresh in my mind; (c) because I lost and am in a bad mood; (d) I got a surprising win and want to savor the happy feeling for a while or (e) I have to go to the bathroom, or get something to eat, etc., etc. The point is, you don't have "right" to a rematch. Instead you have the right to play or not play as your mood or circumstances dictate. To snarl at someone or label them a "coward" because they don't do a rematch is, first of all, based on ignorance, because you don't know the other player's situation, and, secondly, just plain uncultured. The End.
