My daughter is 5 and I would like to start teaching her how to play chess. I was thinking of giving her all the pieces, and giving myself less pieces as a bit of a handicap at least until she was comfortable with how every piece moved. I'm actually a pretty terrible player, so I am probably

ah well in the club player version i added it still might be useful

as a training tool (avoiding tactical mistakes, and win in endgame)

My ex-wife put it in her head I was teaching her in a "dumb" way.... at least, divorce is nice

Now we mostly watch anime or discuss philosophy
