why should I be restricted for having the same moral view?

cause you have a right to be a good person and your choosing not to

I'm not being judged by you. In your other post you just attributed lots of opinions to me that I didn't say. You are confusing a lot of things.

no its not really confusion, its just pointing out that you have violated the rules of the site by simply aborting via against "russian players" which also breaks sportsmanship. its not moral to mistreat other players and quit just cause they are russian when they have the same rights as you to play anyone here including me so why cant you? its not magic

I realise I have violated the rules of the site. That is what this whole forum is about. You don't need to point that out.

And is is no more immoral for me to abort against Russian players than it is for FIFA to ban the Russian football team from competing. Exactly the same moral basis. And I have a perfect right to do what I am doing. As I stated, most Russians are wonderful people. they are taking to the street and hopefully will manage to bring an end to all this. But just now I don't have to play chess against them.

alright bro well thats up to you but even if they are russian, treat them the same way you would want to be treated and give them a game, it may make their day better

Point taken, but I can't play anyone right now...my account has been restricted!angry.pnghappy.png

The Russian people didn't do anything wrong. Its the government. It has literally nothing with normal Russians to do. So you should just treat them like normal people. Well, that 's all my opinion.

If they're so great, why don't they care what their president does. The president they themselves elected.

I didn't say they are great. I am just saying that this is what Putin, the government, is wrong. The Russian people never knew that Putin will start a war against Ukraine in the future. No one knew that.

The Russian people also did a protest in Moscow, but got  suppressed by the police.

If you think it's so easy, why don't you live in an authoritarian state which either jails or kills you for disagreeing with the government? Typical armchair analysis. It's always easy in theory.

OK... I'll start a non-political thread. The black king attacked the white queen for no reason. Should the black pawns tell the king they don't want him as king? Do I have the right not to play an opponent whose king acts unfairly?

The black king is supposed to attack the white queen. I don't understand your point.

You have the right to play an opponent who acts unfairly.

I lived in such a state.... in 1989 we took to the streets...we were beaten, arrested, but in the end we won...it's possible...don't be afraid....you can do it.

Right... everybody went out to the streets? Nobody stayed at home? Did everybody start protesting five days in?

In the civil rights movement in the US, the protesters were in the minority, but they were able to achieve their aims. That's because over the course of many years, speeches, walks, and other forms of protesting, the civil rights movement was able to win over the majority of people sitting at home. This conflict hasn't even lasted more than a week.

How about you start by going to friends to help snowball a march of 1.000.000 people against the war? Right now you're just on chess.com doing nothing to stop your government?

Because it's not my government. I am using the Russian flag for personal reasons. And I just said, it's not easy to be a hero.

i cant believe a titled player of all people would simply say something oblivious without realizing that SOME PEOPLE can simply switch their flags in settings, what a genius
