I keep thinking about this:
Imagine a Chess-board, all set up & waiting for the first move. But before the first move, both Black and White take both of their rooks and switch places with their bishops. Now start the game and play.
As often, Rooks are frequently stuck-in-the-corner til near the end of games, this may involve them earlier. Also, with bishops on each end of the board, they can start with a long diagonal, earlier. I wonder if the entire game would be more enjoyable this way, although I already love the game as it is. - BarnOwl4, USA
