hey how about you shut up, if you're so "smart" and morally and logically superior to us, then why are you here. Oh I know because you're not smarter, or morally and logically superior as you say, "Birds of a feather flock together".

Anyway as towards cheating accusations, the guy is a 14 year old chess prodigy from Serbia who's got 2 IM norms in the past 3 months how about you do your research before you run your mouth.

quick question who are you

He is a 2000+ rated player who dropped a lot and is having trouble getting to 1500.

2000 blitz?
no wonder you just need to play 3 min and get decent at making 2 move threats and flagging and viola! you have 2000.

This is a story all about how IMRomlin's rating turned upside down. IMRomlin claims that his previous account from 2009, that he forgot the username and password to, was around 2000+. Unfortunately one day he suddenly forgot his username and password! Now, he's stuck with his new account. On this account his sister dropped his rating to 400 which is why he was unable to get back to 2000 (because that makes so much sense). Apparently, getting to 1400 is a milestone for him now even though he used to be rated 2000.

...Wow that's really pathetic.

I feel like he took a few things from me, I mean look! He has a sister ruining his account.

He only played bullet, believe it or not it's kind of tricky to use a chess engine in bullet. He showed me the email where Shaun said "considering your high rating..." I understand what you're trying to say but BobbyPhisher was actually banned for being too good. He was banned before and he came back. I guess the staff found out he wasn't really cheating. There is no second chance for using a chess engine of this site.

Believe it or not it's kinda tricky to use a chess engine in bullet" says NonSequitur.

What closet to you live in ??? You actually believe this and repeat this nonsense? This is a great disservice. Bullet bots are a dime a dozen . Once set-up they run themselves or are easily programmable. Banned for being "too good" is horse pucky.

What about the other things I said? Okay, what about the fact that he's also a titled player? He got the title recently, a month ago or so. His win to loss ratio isn't even that far 300-230. I wonder how his programmable chess bot lost 40% of his games. You just make up stuff in your head and believe them. I think the word for that is delusion. What about the email I mentioned or the fact that the staff thought he was cheating before and was wrong?

Can you not get your mind around the fact that he is a 13 year old chess prodigy that has 2 IM Norms?

If so, the web might not be the right place for you. These days lots of people have been telling you that, so it may be true.

Please then identify BobbyPhisher960. Apparently he must be well known having just made 2 IM norms and being 13 years of age.  It would be of public record, not revealing privileged information. I researched and found no such individual.

Titled_Patzer

I found a few ridiculous posts made by BobbyPhisher960 from past threads. Stuff like "I am not presently working much, I am a genius. It doesn't matter" (direct quote). Not working? Top players don't go around boasting they are a genius.

Titled_Patzer

My point was members are not banned for "being too good". That notion is absurd. He was banned for violating fair play policy. I am not in any position to say CC was 100% correct. If any mistake is made by staff, it is extremely rare, but his account was not closed for "being too good."

His games here can still  be reviewed. His rating was around 2100/2200. (too good ? LOL) Played games vs such buddies as SCM and others rated much lower. Did not conduct himself like any IM I've ever known.

So who is this 13 year old Serbian chess prodigy with 2 IM Norms? Huh?

Titled_Patzer

A common misconception is that members who use a chess engine do so most every game. This simply is not true. People who attempt to do so are quickly identified. Others who have established their unique metrics by regular play, then they too become easily identified when selectively choosing to use an engine. The cheat detection team certainly is far better qualified than anybody here, they also have access to all games played with all the pertinent metrics.

I think you're unable to detect sarcasm (perhaps a lack of social interactions) he was obviously joking about the "I am a genius." I've also played him a few times both in correspondence and blitz. I beat him once or twice and he beat me a lot more. Definitely a 2000+ player and not an engine. Apparently maturity correlates to chess strength.

I don't think you read social cues very well. The staff didn't ban him because they he was "too good" they banned him because they thought he was cheating even though he wasn't. That's what lionheart meant by "being too good." I think that will clarify things.

You're not as smart as you think you are and you certainly don't see things "how it really is."

Titled_Patzer

Thanks for the identification. CM and a current 2200 Fide player, (2000 at the time of his being banned) - far from the chess prodigy has was touted as with no IM norms. Anyways, either you nor I definitively know if he ever cheated or violated fair play policy (which includes other violations besides engine use.) As I said, it takes but a few transgressions to get labeled. Players can play honestly for 95% of their games and "selectively" use an engine but a few times, (resulting in a ban.) People make mistakes, youngsters perhaps more so. I trust the CC detection team makes every effort at being objective, and errs on the side of caution. "Friends" of the player being labeled are rarely as objective, especially when exaggerated generalizations are given in support, lacking the metrics required, and the expertise needed to make an evaluation.
