i need to take a break i guess -- just getting frustrated with playing -- and iam starting to blame everyone and  this sites system for my lack of patience -- i know when at 9am on a Thursday morning when i lose /lose/lose - even to less scored people and thats pretty hard for me  being close to 100 again- then i know i need to break from this -- nothing is working - so stop working

back to poker for a while---- at least there i can't blame the system or the site - just myself and well maybe others when i don't get  my way on the the tables(hahaha )

well i tried a bunch of unrated games to see if that would help ---- what a mess that was-- not one of the four players i had was under 800 what gives --?// why would you if you have 800 rating play unrated -- now i am really upset with this game -- i thought playing unrated meant playing lower rated players beginners etc   -- just the reverse - again now i have to stop and just read  posts here for a while -- pretty soon my meds will kick in and i will stop being so upset with this site - then i can be  just be upset with myself -- poker by the way did't help - 4 games one win thee losses --

That last game I analyzed was your best opening I've seen.  You're developing all your pieces and getting a good start.  Now all you have to do is not hang pieces and take your opponents hanging pieces.

I don't know why unrated games would match you up against 800's. Just stick to the rated games, because your rating is about to go up.  I believe in the Doker!

Again - great opening. You had this game in the bag! Just a few blunders messed it up. Clean up those blunders and take your opponent's hanging pieces. That's all you have to do and you'll be destroying players.

Give 'em hell Doker!

It's completely normal to feel frustrated when things aren't going your way, especially when it comes to games and competition. It's important to remember that losing is a natural part of any game and that everyone experiences it at some point. It's also important to recognize when you need to take a break, as it can help to clear your mind and give you the chance to come back with a fresh perspective. Taking breaks can also help to prevent burnout and keep things feeling enjoyable and fun. It's okay to step back and give yourself some time to regroup, especially if you're feeling overwhelmed or frustrated. It's important to take care of yourself and prioritize your mental and emotional well-being.

Chess.com's systems are quite broken. The unrated pool has remained unfixed for decades. I think it's a bug? Should be easy to fix (IF elo_dif > x then: playersuffle(s_elo). Chess.com is behind lichess with this haha.

thanks for the input about it being broken i just played three more games in unrated all three players where the same 800 score -- so something is wrong with site

trying a new regime late tonight thursday night --  going to play 10 min. games and force--- and i mean force myself as best i can as my very impatient mind works try to stick to 30 second moves --as has been recommended for me to do - also it seems when i play 10 min games the range of players is closer to my skill level 100 to 150/160  - so with all the advice i have been avoiding  from you all out there about longer slower games, slower moves etc etc - i am at my ropes end, the bitter end so to speak- not to try this 10 min games 30 sec moves -i will lose the same number of games it will just take me longer --this is penitence for my playing so badly at 3 min game  as of late

It's great that you are willing to try something new and commit to improving your chess skills. Playing 10-minute games with a 30-second time control can be a good way to work on your speed and decision-making under pressure. It's also a good idea to try to play against opponents who are closer to your skill level, as this can help you learn and improve more effectively.

One thing to keep in mind is that it's important to have a balanced approach to chess training. While it can be helpful to focus on specific areas of improvement, it's also important to vary your training and play different time controls to develop a well-rounded skill set. It's also a good idea to take breaks and rest between training sessions to allow your mind to recover and avoid burnout.

Finally, it's important to have a positive attitude and not get too discouraged by losses. Every game is an opportunity to learn and improve, and by staying focused and committed to your goals, you can make steady progress over time.

well i tried the ten minutes games again and still no luck -- having tuff time waiting 30 sec before a move -- i already know two moves  in advance what i am going to do and rush to get there -- hard for me to break this habit -- i will try later this afternoon new year eve to try again

Just consider if your opponents last move hung a piece and if your intended move will hang a piece.

Your opponent hangs pieces left and right, yet you don't take them.?.  I have to assume this is due to moving too fast. I don't believe you wouldn't find those moves if you just analyzed an extra few seconds.

C'mon Doker!  You got this bro!

i am now after this morning giving up on 10 min games  they just take too long and the players constantly out think me -- which is good for them and bad for me and i lose now  no matter what - i used to think losing not the goal but getting to 40/50 moves was the goal -- i should rethink my trying to win and go back just getting solace of getting beat at move 40 or 50 or even 60

back to 3 min games where i least have a advantage of time on my side  - i just have to get my rhtym down pat on my first 15 moves - back to the games

Yes he will, everyone improves some just by playing. Maybe not as fast as with long analysis prior to each move... but still.  Play whatever time format you enjoy. Because if ya don't enjoy it, what's the bloody point?

1) develop fast, 2) castle fast, 3) develop more, 4) TAKE YOUR OPPONENTS HANGING PIECES.

Do that and I guarantee you'll be 200 to 300 within a week.  You're already doing the first two steps, just give yourself an extra second before moving and take those hanging pieces. Piece of cake!

Give 'em hell Doker! I ain't quitting on ya.

Explain your thinking behind some of these move.  I've seen you play way better games than that.
